NC Arboretum
The North Carolina State Arboretum is vary close to the cabins (2 miles). Please

Arboretum’s website
as there is far to many activities for me to list. I will say the hiking trails
around Arboretum are wonderful. The terrain is not too steep so it is an easy stroll.
When the trees and flowers are blooming, the place is just beautiful. Don’t forget
to bring some corn to feed the trout as you hike down to the creek. Fishing is not
allowed in the Arboretum so the trout have gotten quite large.
