French Broad Adventures


Only 30 miles (about 40 minutes) from our cabin rentals in Asheville NC, French Broad Adventures is the closest whitewater rafting company to the cottages.


I (Marshall) went with two of my boys (17 and 19) and my father-in-law (68) and we had a blast. Our guide had been with the company since it started, about 20 years earlier and was very informative.


The rapids were consistent and there were only a few small sections of smooth water. We took the trip that offered lunch (hot dogs and hamburgers) and the food was as good as it could be.


Make sure you stop by the Well-Bred Bakery & Café in Weaverville on your way back-trust me on this one.
